Writer's Block: Wild Rumpus

A lot of characters in kids' books have it pretty good, from calling the start of the wild rumpus to ordering room service from their hotel suite. If you could be any character from children's literature, who would you be?
I always wanted to be Laura Ingalls. My mom read me Little House In the Big Woods when I was five, and Laura was five in that, and... well, obviously it made a deep and lasting impression.

This explains a lot. :)

I would choose Alice from Alice in Wonderland, though I don't really like her. I'd probably more likely choose the Mad Hatter, though he's not a child. I just want to go to Wonderland. Those have always been my favourites books/movies.

Hahaha, me too. I even tried dressing like Laura Ingalls when I was in 3rd/4th grade but of course it only made me even more of an outcast. Prairie fever was finally satisfied when, on a camping trip with my mother and grandmother, we happened upon a playground featuring a covered wagon.

Have you seen the new book covers with the photographs though? I bought Lauren one of the books because my set was missing one and the new covers are freakin UGLY.

You found a play-covered-wagon! OMG. I'm going to get a goat. Maybe I can build a tiny covered wagon and teach a goat to pull it?

I still have a disturbing tendency to drift towards calico if not restrained. And I have three sunbonnets.

I haven't seen the new covers, damn - I may wind up with them too, because I'm giving those books to Kyra (the niece) and she'll get whichever ones are going to attract her more!
