BioAfter surviving longer than I or my friends had any right to expect, the only decent thing for me to do was to politely retire to my country estate. Not having a country estate made this slightly inconvenenient, but with some help from The Ed (a magical figure around whom we've based a simple but satisfying religious philosophy, any resemblance to my mother's boyfriend is purely intentional) we managed to get an old schoolhouse in the middle of nowhere that serves the purpose. I now live there with my husband, our dog, and a large number of chickens. And a small cat. And two sheep.
